Militarizing the border means it’s harder to return to Mexico as well as harder to enter.

That means that seasonal labor from illegal immigrants stopped being seasonal and started living permanently in the US. We didn’t have the large illegal immigrant population until Reagan started this process.

Now fast forward several decades and the cartels run border crossing, making themselves enormously wealthy, which increases crime and competition, and now leading to violence spilling over.

We need to enter Mexico and annihilate the cartels weekly. We need to wholesale arrest gang members for enterprise corruption send them to Guantanamo Bay. We just need slaughter all of them inside and outside the states.

Militarization of the Mexico border has been an unmitigated disaster.
The Army has been watching the border since I was in back in the 90s in JTF-6
The feds usually put us where there was no expected activity, but this was a trick that usually only happened under Democrat Presidents.
It was supposed to be drug trafficking interdiction, but they just put us in the middle of nowhere so we wouldn't kill anyone.

With no wars going on now, I would guess those Marines are getting restless by now and would welcome the opportunity to go kill some shitheads.

I don't know. Their new Secretary is an imbicile.
