Yeah but it has more to do with teenagers choosing not to get jobs than it does with there not being “enough” of them
Two completely different issues
Why do you want them in the workforce so badly?

Good. We can use the buildings to house the homeless. Many would likely be former students.Nope....not even remotely close to the truth.
We are going to begin closing high schools in about 5 years.

Somewhat but not really....so what you are discussing is taco trucks....not Taco BellsThat's a measure of the oversupply of labor (mostly immigrant labor).
Elementary schools are gonna be firstGood. We can use the buildings to house the homeless. Many would likely be former students.![]()
How about bringing back unions too?
Of course the unions are controlled by schmucks and leeches.First of all, I like how you completely ignored my point. In effect you IMPLIED that it was a strong point, but not so much so, that later, once the discussion moved on, that you can't pretend that it was never made.
My point is true. The difference between poverty and working poor, is just a few dollars an hour, and can make ALL the difference in the world, for the quality of life for that family.
Second of all, unions? SUre, IF they are really UNIONS, and not fronts for the lefty agenda.
Can you point to me ONE ******* TIME, that a union stood up for the workers against the pronoun police? (for example)
And currently, even though Trump/Republicans have been EXTREMELY favorable towards what the Unions tell their membership they are in favor of....and in times past put their membership to work to the point that their ranks swell with new members.....First of all, I like how you completely ignored my point. Of course the unions are controlled by schmucks and leeches.
The Southern Benefit Retirement Fund has absolutely outrageous fees (hidden) but very limited returns for the union members that must contribute to this mutual fund. (Zero choice in the matter). It's also one of the largest Mutual Funds in existence....
AFL-CIO has more Mutual Funds and retirement pensions robbed of cash and replaced with annuities....
All funded by dues.
And these union members are held hostage by their jobs and dues. Only protected somewhat by the Federal government....
But there are gaps in that protection that a free market could provide. But with the shrinking labor pool....that's not happening either.
And currently, even though Trump/Republicans have been EXTREMELY favorable towards what the Unions tell their membership they are in favor of....and in times past put their membership to work to the point that their ranks swell with new members.....
Not a single one will support Republicans or Trump.
"Just a few dollars and hour more" isn't going to get the goal done when those few dollars are quickly gobbled up by food, gas, health insurance, rent, and on and on going up in price. Its been this way for many years now and young people are seeing it and saying no thanks to eeking it by. And I dont blame them. Your goal is worthy but it's going to take a lot more than a few dollars per hour more.First of all, I like how you completely ignored my point. Ceos disagree with you.Anyway, my point stands. We need policy to raise wages.
I want GENERATIONS are wage growth.
You cannot directly legislate fair wages....it never works. It's been tried many times and in many ways. Never worked before and likely won't in the future.Anyway, my point stands. We need policy to raise wages.
