There is a lot of talk about woke-this and woke-that in education, but here’s the deal for me today:

I’ve been given some time to prepare a presentation today, so it’s a pretty quiet day. As a result, I can hear much of what is going on in the school around my classroom. First thing this morning I heard a few hundred students reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. A little later I heard a room full of native Spanish speakers singing God Bless the USA, and after that Country Roads, Take Me Home.

Didn’t strike me as very “woke.”

They tell boys and girls that they may not actually be a boy or girl. No, gender is fluid and it is OK to be fluid and change gender roles. In fact, whatever is making you feel "bad" about yourself, especially as they go through the difficult assault of puberty, might actually be related to the fact that you were born in the wrong body and we will support your transition if you so choose!

Had any recent kids in school cutting class to protest guns or climate change recently?

That is why we send our kids to school, you do realize that, right? It's not to be educated to think critically to discuss such controversial subjects, rather, it's to indoctrinate them as what the Left has already decided is correct and settled science.

Are you Ok with mutilating the genitals of children?

My favorite was Gretta Thornberg.

There she was 12 years old telling a group at the UN how her life is over due to global warming and how she would be in school being educated instead of being their lecturing adults and the world how they should believe about climate change.

Such child abuse is heart breaking, only, public education is doing this to all your children.

There is nothing like seeing a group of 3-year-olds protesting guns in a school parking lot to change my mind about the issue, that is for damned sure!

That said, I'm sure there is some WACKO out there that did, but JFC dude, you pretend that this is part of the curriculum. NOT even close to reality.
