Sure. I was the first one to condemn 9/11. Or any other number of attacks by Al Qaeda or groups like that.

But here's the thing. I am old enough to remember when the slam on the Arab world wasn't that they were Islamists, but they were a bunch of dirty stinking Commies who hated our Freedom. And these arguments usually consisted of "See, see, they are taking money from Russia and using Kalishnikovs!!!"

I see our problem with the Islamic world being less about "religion" and more about colonialism and exploitation.
