Pastor says if women wear shorts, get raped, and he is on the jury, he would acquit, because men are men.

MONROE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Union County pastor is under fire after a clip of his sermon went viral online, in which he blames rape victims for their attire.

Pastor Bobby Leonard of Bible Baptist Tabernacle can be heard saying that he wouldn’t convict a rapist if the victim was wearing shorts.

The clip, which has been viewed millions of times, sparked outrage and condemnation online. Many have called Pastor Leonard’s words “disgusting,” “disgraceful,” and “dangerous.”

In the clip, Leonard talks about how many women wear shorts nowadays rather than dresses or pants.

“If you dress like that and you get raped, and I’m on the jury, he’s going to go free,” Leonard said. Later, he adds, “I’m right, you know, because a man’s a man.”

Where do they find this stuff? Is there a network that does nothing but monitor the conduct of Christian churches no matter how small?

I think, almost.

There certainly are elements in our society that are desperate to discredit Christianity, to discredit conservatism in all its forms, to discredit anything that is good and wholesome.

You can bet that some LIbtARd somewhere went to great effort to find this cretin, in order to try to hold him up as an example by which to smear all conservatives, and all Christians by false association.

1. The pastor could have been more diplomatic.

2. He just wanted to say that how one dresses DOES make a difference.

3. For example, some person (male or female) who dyes his/her hair blue has no right to scream at a bypasser: "What are you looking at?!!!"

4. So females should dress modestly, as the pastor advised.

5. If the pastor were on a jury, and the evidence proved that the defendant had indeed sexually assaulted the victim, then he would probably vote to convict.

Don't assume. Read what this fat slob preached.

So he is likely also a liar?

Women should conduct themselves modestly.

Sounds like he's trying to make excuses for abnormal people who have strong sex drives.
