There was direct pressure. Denying that is not honest.They are making a unique case of "mental" jury tampering. But I believe it must fail because every juror can be assumed to face possible mental or indirect ramifications stemming from their verdict.
Only when there is direct pressure, such as through threats or bribery, can the jury's verdict be overturned. And no such direct pressure existed.
