I’m getting close to 80 years old.
How can one become a liberal thinker like so many in the city of my home? If I could learn to think that way maybe I could better understand how they are thinking. To me, some of my peers appear like sheep. I do not want to be a sheep; I want to think independently. I do not drink alcohol or use drugs which separates me from some of these peers. Many of these peers have long histories of living the city lifestyle of booze and drugs. That city lifestyle has been an advertising goldmine for the newspaper and morning radio programming in the community. So, is the media influence in the city already suspect?
The local medical center stays pretty mum on the city lifestyle while it has become the Walmart of the Pharmaceutic Industrial Complex. What percentage of my peers is loaded with blood thinners and anticoagulants? What effect do these chemicals have on brain function? How are these chemicals interacting with the organs of citizens that were encouraged to imbibe spirits and use marijuana at their leisure? Does the liberal city mirror the Amity town in the Movie, Jaws? Do local businesses know where their bread is buttered? These are sincere questions that should be considered.
One wonders how much of the medical center’s missing Fentanyl made it to the streets and how long poor stewardship of hazardous material went on? We may never know because the city’s media appears to function more as public relations for the city than an investigative tool for the people.
The city is definitely a liberal stronghold in the state, and the liberal arts college just off Main Street has a lot do with that. One wonders what percentage of the college’s student body is on medication to combat ADHD and make them better able to concentrate with what we used to call “speed” in my day.
This produces a dilemma for me. In order for me to understand how the people in the city are thinking, I would have to do what many of them do. I am not in the mood to poison myself to find out. I like having a clear head and thinking independently.
I guess that’s why I am not a liberal.

New Hampshire Hospital Lost Nearly 8 Gallons of Fentanyl
Leadership sanctioned; diversion played a role, but couldn't explain all of the missing bags
