Last time I really paid much attention to the Olympics was 1988 Seoul when I happened to be stationed there. 1976 Montreal before that.

I am not normally what you call a sports fan, normally. I do enjoy watching some of the Olympic events though, wrestling included.
My understanding of the ancient olympics was that it was the main event, with the other events being a lead up to the wrestling.
Wow, how can they call it the olympics without the wrestling?

1972 did the Olympics in for me. Haven't watched them since. Ended up working as a counter-terrorism/espionage specialist in the Munich Consulate. That really soured the whole thing for me.

Greco-roman wrestling is an amazing and dangerous sport.

Wins by knockout and/or injusry are quite common.

Wrestling is a CORE OLYMPIC sport.

No wrestling means that there is NO OLYMPIC GAMES being held.
