UN: Israel 18th best country to live in

Hmm, well here you go. The United Nations Human Development Index says Israel is the 18th best country to live in world wide, ahead of even Japan. Pretty hard to keep accusing Israel of apartheid and genocide with that kind of statistic isn't it?

Israel was ranked above Luxembourg and Japan in the UN Human Development Index.


The United Nations yesterday published its Human Development Index. The index measures development in countries throughout the world, and assigns them a mark, based on three main parameters: life expectancy, education, and income. Israel is among the 20 countries giving its people the best life.

Did they count the children and the Palestinians, (both of which do not have a voice).

And what is the criteria for those figures ?

Based on the same criteria would the US show a larger or smaller figure than Israel, my money is on a much larger percentage of US children living in poverty.

Lastly how many of these "poor" people are in self imposed poverty through religious/political views meant to hurt the Israeli government
