China's "obsession" with Taiwan, is simply that they firmly believe - we are ONE people and ONE country.With or without the Taiwanese Semi-conductor Manufacturing facility?
That's what China's late obsession with Taiwan is really about.
Thank God for the CHIPS act. If China invades Taiwan, the U.S. will bomb TSCM - then China will have no IC Chips!

And China will never tolerate whatever "political system" on Taiwan, that is prone for outside or respectively US manipulation and control, in regards to setting foreign, aka US military bases right in front of their nose. - and especially not within their own countries territory.
