You are obviously even too naive to understand the difference between steeling and conquering.

China carries it's own historic fault since the Ming Dynasty - in regards to it's steady decline. Therefore becoming prey to any other nation that in regards to technological and military superiority - was able to screw them. It's called way of life and it's reality.

Since 2000 onward, both China and Russia have caught up with the rest of the world - China certainly being overall more sucessful then Russia, and that places an obvious fear and envy onto e.g. the USA and Europe. And not amongst China and Russia. Should Russia become a real democracy - "only in your fantasy" - China will do whatever it deems necessary, to protect the country and it's people.
