• A RAND/Indiana University analysis put the number at nearly 140,000 deaths prevented by May 2021. National Institutes of Health (NIH)+1
• A modeling study reported in Medscape suggests the vaccines saved over 3 million U.S. lives since the rollout began. Medscape
• Another model (via JAMA Health Forum / JAMA Health) estimated in 2021 that vaccination may have prevented more than 1 million deaths and 10 million hospitalizations in the U.S. under certain scenarios.
