And we all start laughing. the fat liar claimed he was an honest man in a live interview on monday. It became a national headline and the clip went viral.

Such is the low point the country is at. The Prime Mnister claiming he is an honest man is a bigger story than Ukraine.

It has never been this bad before no matter how shit our leadership has been.

He had a good arse kicking on thursday when the tories lost 500 council seats in the local elections. There are no tory councils in Wales or Scotland now and they have also lost councils that they have held forever.

Labour and the Liberals have taken advantage of his dishonesty and the tories have been plotting since thursday about how to get the lying bastard out.

I would prefer him to stay as he is an absolute liability for the tories. The forces of good will profit from his presence at the next election.

That rudderless goofball is giving you Marxist snivelers nearly everything that you want, yet y'all still hate him.

The left is nothing more than a mob of spoiled little children, in the midst of a life-long temper tantrum.

Might as well use 'ole Boris to your future advantage.
Its tough. The fear is that he will overstep the mark in appealing to his ignorant base.

He has already brought in a policy to deport migrants to Rwanda and is now looking to force Housing Associations to sell off their housing stock.

If Russia hadnt invaded Ukraine he would probably have invaded somewhere small to boost his popularity.

He is aproaching trump levels of dishonesty now.

Thinking people in America know all about that other side and their ignorant base, and how easily these dopes can be manipulated. Wealthy corporate donors throw truckloads of money at various media entities to keep them misinformed and angry.

I'm fairly certain it is not nearly as bad in England as it is in this country. As bad as Johnson might appear to you, the man is a combination of Gandhi and Elon Musk compared to Trump.

Well you can certainly hope so, but the big gains were by the LibDems, not Labour. Since their presence in commons is rather meager, it would be hard to equate this with being a signal that Boris or the conservatives are done for.

It really doesnt bother me which party beats the tories. My own belief is that the left needs to unite to beat them with an electoral pact.

In pretty much every seat there are more decent people than tories but the FPP system allows the tories to sneak in.

Its time for all parties on the left to work together and save the country. we cant go on as we are.

Having said that the tories are dropping like flies. At least 1 a week is falling foul of norml decency.

One of them has been convicted of raping a minor. He is going to jail shortly. One of his mates stood up for him and called the trisl a disgrace. he is not now seeking re-election.

Another was caught last week watching porn on his phone IN THE FUCKING COMMONS. Then there is the guy who has had sex harrassment xharges against him. he was also photographed with lines of coke. He also has a mysterious loan from a russian oligarch to explain.
A neighbouring MP was suspended from the commons after coming out and chasing his assistants around the office. He should have resigned but he lacks the decency.

Another one is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident after a crash. he was probabaly pissed.

Johnson purged all the decent tories as they were opposed to him. Their places were taken by brexit trash. people with no moral or ethical compass.

Our own MP has disappeared from view. She is never seen in the town. Which is just fine by me.

Even if every other party were to unite, they would still be a distant 75 or so seats from a majority. Blair and Brown wrecked Labour and while the libdems star is on the rise, they are more going to pull votes from Labour so it is a net zero as far as the conservatives. It is going to take more than random unsavory behavior to bring down the tories. Labour is going to have to come up with a platform that accepts brexit, embraces reality on the ground, and offer voters a more moderate path forward than what they have been putting out there. I mean at least the Brexiters had a firm position on the issue. Labour wouldn't shit or get off the pot when it came to the negotiations. Their Managed Migration scheme really is at odds with their own historical support of trade unions. Hell it is at odds with their very name. They are going to have to undergo a major overhaul to win a majority and that is going to have to involve stomping down the libdems to get there because even in a minority government situation, odds are the tories will hold onto 10 Downing because Labour is such a divided, battered party.

Nope. That evalation is at odds with what I am seeing. If the results from thursday were translated into a GE then labour would be the largest party and could govern with lib support.

Brexit has failed. the lib gains have all come in areas that voted remain and can see that it has failed.

labour is terrified to mention brexit for fear of alienating brexit voters in shitty northern towns.

The country is in recession. record level of taxes. Crumbling public services and a lot of people having to choose between heating and eating.

There is no upside for the tories who are tied to Johnson who is a liability.

What it will look like from here, 2 years out, is not something I can forecast other than the tories will not be the next government.

And I havent even mentioned Northern Ireland and the brexit mess there.

what I hear is that Labour did so well in the council elections when Corbyn was leader that Starmer did do quite well and got a few more.....but if the police are after him I would think he is finished

He really does over step the Mark His comments led to a British/Iranian woman having to spend a lot longer in prison. It was also his talking which got Russia threatening to nuke us.

The Tories admit his faults but say they have no one else. He is still popular. They wont remove him till they find someone better.

The gains were by the libdems who have like 13 seats in common. Labour underperformed expectations by hundreds of local seats and if the same vote totals were applied to the general election, they would still be lacking over 30 seats from a majority. There is still a lot of time for Boris to put the present woes behind the conservatives.

Labour mainly performed well this time in London. It is the american equivalent of democrats winning seats in California and nowhere else.

I dont think their expectations were any higher. most of the councils being fought were labour councils so its difficult to see how they could gain seats they already held.

But the tories now have no councils in Scotland or Wales. In effect they are the English National Party.

I am pleased that the Libs have bounced back I would dread a duopoly. they also give unhappy tories a soft spot to land on.

I think you underestimate the total shitness of the tories position. They really have nothing going in their favour.

Economy is in recession.. People are struggling to cope. 10% inflation. Sinn Fein in power as a direct result of their shit brexit deal. They have even admitted that their horrible immigration scheme in Rwanda is not going to work.

They also have the Covid enquiry to face. Remember the police are already digging into the contracts that were awarded to tory donors and the courts have found that they killed thousands in care homes.

There is nothing going well for them.

Why do you make yourself sound like a an idiot...

Could explaIn Marxist policies and how they are in the UK labour party?

You are fucking clueless if you think there is any push for Marxism...

In 2 years inflation won't be 10%, brexit kinks will be on their way to being resolved and today's woes will be a distant memory. What the tories can offer is they are not Labour. Labour has become the party of the arriveste, not the worker or shopkeeper.

How bad is it that the Tories are so hated they lost 338 seats, but Labour could only increase theirs by 22?

Starmer should just quit right now.
