UAE home-grown barbershop chain Chaps & Co is expanding across the region and the U.S.

The gentlemen’s barbershop was founded in 2015 and now has a total of 10 operational barbershops across the MENA region and in the U.S. It wants to open another four branches by the end of the year.

While its expansion plans were derailed by the Covid-19 pandemic, it has bounced back and has launched flagship branches in Riyadh and New York.

Founder of Chaps & Co, Jordan Davies, said: “The pandemic taught us valuable business lessons and provided time to strategise the next few years. We’re incredibly proud to now be in a position of international expansion.”

That's an interesting development.

Really? No jokes on Chop Chop square in Riyadh? Some resident smart ass you are.

IDK. With all their oil money, only "10 barber shops"? Seems like a way to funnel questionables through immigration with "work" visas.

Because there are millions of startups.

What makes this one interesting? That it started in the UAE hardly seems all that interesting.
When was the last time that you saw a barber shop start in the UAE and come here? Got a list handy? Can you name them off the top of your head?
