U.S. to get federal holiday between Thanksgiving and Christmas under proposal
Members of the Congressional Black Caucus have brought forward a bill to add a federal holiday on December 1, honoring Rosa Parks.

A federal holiday in commemoration of civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks has been proposed by congresswoman Terri Sewell, of Alabama's 7th District.
The representative brought forward the bill to designate December 1st as Rosa Parks Day.
Rep. Sewell, Alabama's first Black congresswoman, has said she is reintroducing this bill to prevent the "whitewashing" of American history, after the downgrading of Black History Month by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and as federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are scrapped.
I say replace MLK Day with Rosa Parks Day but then what would you do with the MLK in Carbonite Memorial in DC?
It's my favorite decoration.

Maybe one could be commissioned with Biden sitting next to her, all back of the bus.
