Consultant. Mekki ELMOGRABI starts the discussion:
1- Let us clear out contradictions: U.S. funds South Africa, Africa’s top industrial power! Why did this happen? US sanctions against SA, are they Trump’s agenda—or Musk’s influence? How does this happen in the world's strongest nation?
2- Question to SA President Ramaphosa: Mandela ensured the stability of SA's politics and economy—how do new 'expropriation policies' align with or diverge from Mandela's Legacy?
3- If mediation between US and SA is needed. India is the best and plays roles in both QUAD and BRICS but avoids major mediation. So who steps up? A Gulf nation or Nigeria?

Why should the U.S. stop funding for a relatively stable democracy in Africa while the rest of the continent is constantly at war?

Thanks for the reply, I believe in supporting African democracies, the poor countries through aid, but SA through investment and partnership, I don't see the logic in supporting rich countries, that will make them dependent, anyway I will start the discussion on Wednesday with the points above, welcome and join.

This is the kind of funding bullshit that Musk's DOGE group is exposing. Nothing wrong there.
