Those of us who have indulged in old spy stories realize how close Russia came to having an outright double agent become head of Mi6. They had high ranked politicians under their control and many surely who were never made but who existed unnoticed their entire careers. Considering the policies of some leaders, especialy in Europe and their satellites; American leaders and intel must stop believing that foreign Western intel partners are effecfive enough in preventing their leaders from being compromised or even outright recruited by a foreign hostile nation. For me, there is no more telling circumstance than judging a leader based on the policies of that nation. Even as an untrained person, there are some disturbing signals, even obvious signs in the decisions of some leaders. Blackmail or ideology, something is amiss.
