Anybody got a good recipe that uses turkey feet and beaks? Seems a shame to simply throw them out.

My Great Grandma used to make dumplings with chicken feet and beaks included. You could probably sub turkey feet and get the same results. ( Usually little children screaming in horror when the feet were dropped in their bowl ) :)

Happy Thanksgiving !!

My grandmother's recipe: she was an East European gypsy...

The dish is called Feetenpeckers. At least that's the English translation. The name was derived by utilizing additional syntactical changes with nominative pronouns being dropped wherever possible.

7 turkey feet (we never figured out what she did with the 8th)
8 turkey beaks
1 Small Winter Squash -- peeled and cubed
1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
1 Ounce Almonds
1/4 Teaspoon Saffron
1 Tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
Salt And Pepper -- to taste

Scramble over medium-high heat.
Serve over toasted bread.

Hey- you asked for it. :D
