I am a 'classic Liberal', circa 1968, which makes me appear to be more conservative than is warranted today. The little chart in my sig seems fairly accurate in how I view my political inclinations.

If Gabbard does not get the Democratic party nomination, then I will vote for Trump. If Trump had the same positions on a few issues as Gabbard that make me enthusiastic about her, then I would make Trump my first choice with high school glee.

But 1) Trump does not seem to have any inclination in breaking up the Too Big to Fail Banks.

2) Trump is not trying to legalize Marijauana.

3) Trump is not trying to purge corporate donations from our electoral process.

And lastly 4) Trump is not trying to restore the legal wall of separation between savings banks and banks that play on the Wall Street Casino that was once called Glass Steagal or its equivalent.

Gabbard is trying to do these 4 things and they are important enough for our nation that I would vote for this inexperienced woman to head our national government.

I am familiar with Gabbards. If she really wanted to implement her policies she wouldn’t run as a democrat.
It doesn’t matter what she says. As a democrat she is saddled with all of those anti-American policies. Just like a republican governor in Maryland. They’re imprisoned by democrats.

1) We need to salvage the Democratic Party from the Marxists that control it. In a two party system, it is too risky to let an anti-American faction continued control of one of the major parties.
2) There are several issues that Republicans are tone deaf on that Democrats get, like removing corporate election donations, legalizing marijuana, and restoring Glass Steagal.
3) There is no way to serve in Congress from Hawaii without being a Democrat.

Because I have Libertarian leanings I have been trying to think of ways to like her besides the fact that she is cute.

However, every time I hear her talk she comes across as being garbled, especially when it comes to foreign policy and I am a non interventionists along the lines of Ron Paul.

The other thing is that I have learned to never trust a Democrat. They never deliver conservative polices that they espouse when running for office.

However, putting everything else aside she is a dumb asshole when it comes to the right to keep and bear arms. She is for an assault weapon ban and magazine ban and UBC. That puts her in the dumbass Moon Bat category all by itself.
