As Joe Biden announced that he had selected Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., as his vice presidential running mate, internet trolls got to work.

Since then, false and misleading information about Harris has spiked online and on TV. The activity has jumped from two dozen mentions per hour during a recent week to over 3,200 per hour in the last few days, according to the media insights company Zignal Labs, which analyzed global television broadcasts and social media.

Much of that rise is fueled by fervent supporters of President Donald Trump and adherents of the extremist conspiracy movement QAnon, as well as by the far left, according to a New York Times analysis of the most widespread falsehoods about Harris. On Thursday, Trump himself encouraged one of the most persistent falsehoods, a racist conspiracy theory that Harris is not eligible for the vice presidency or presidency because her parents were immigrants.

Shame on the trolls, I'm sure glad this type of behavior is rarely posted on the USMB, and the Mods diligence prevents such scurrilous lies being echoed ad nausea.

Lots of things were on the internet yesterday, doesn't mean they were, or this is "Breaking News".

Partisan editorials are not news.

Why do you think, and want others to believe this thread is irrelevant? Do you approve of BIG LIES?

I think partisan political assbaggery is NOT news. It's more historically the norm.

A 9-Richter scale earthquake...now THAT's news.

Regardless of those stories being truth or fiction, there is sufficient reason to know that Kamala Harris is a chameleon and will change he narrative based the venue.

When she first became DA in California, she denied access to thousands of documents concerning pedophile priests and at least one bishop (because of contributions to her campaign). She claimed to be protecting the victims. She refused to indict the RCC clergy.

Her own father has disowned her:

She incarcerated hundreds of young blacks for misdemeanor drug possession though she was a smoker herself.

She withheld exculpatory evidence in cases in order to get the few convictions she was able to obtain. She avoided losing weak cases by getting defendants to agree to a deal involving a lesser charge rather than go to court.

TO HELL WITH KAMALA HARRIS!!!

Trump and his supporters are frightened and desperate.

Ridiculous lies and baseless attacks against Harris from the right will increase as election day draws near.

Nobody cares about convincing you of anything. You've made it clear you follow the crazy right wing lies no matter what the facts might be.
