In the comics Superman renounced his US citizenship.
Who or what determines “the better tomorrow”? What is the criteria?

It’s great to emphasize he’s an immigrant…. He became a US Citizen and put America first. Why and how is that a problem?

It is make-believe.

What is wrong with “the American Way” and who determines what a “better tomorrow” looks like?
I don't go to any movies anymore and rarely watch any new TV shows. The DEI woke biased political shit is just nauseating. Everything has to have a purpose anymore. They can't just make a superhero movie, or anything else, without subtly trying to convert someone into being brainwashed by their ideology. It's particularly nauseating to watch places like Disney trying to indoctrinate young children.

Superheros have always had an ideology.

The American way is currently fascism, governmental force via a top-down power structure. Do as I say, not as I do type shit.

A better tomorrow is a much-needed improvement.

On what basis would Superman be a U.S. citizen? First of all, he is not a "person" (he is not human), which is required. Second, he was not born in the U.S., nor was he ever naturalized. If he chose to do so, he could be the deciding factor in any war; indeed, he could prevent any war with a mere threat to vaporize all the leaders of any belligerent nation. At super speed, if you please.
