Trump's transparent desire for the Nobel Peace Prize is not playing well in the prize's home country

Democrats call policies and actions sexist or racist. Republicans call groups socialists or communists or Marxist. When was the last time you argued a specific policy.

Democrats also call Republicans Nazis. Have you noticed?

I argue specific policies quite often. Pick one? Want to talk about the hypocrisy of the left when it comes to the SALT cap? It sure seems that paying their "fair share" is only good for other people, not them. Want to talk about the horrible foreign policy moves by the Biden Administration, including allowing Nordstream to continue, putting Europe behind the 8 ball and emboldening Putin to invade Ukraine? There are lots of dumb Democrat policies that I can argue.

There is no Democratic policy on athletic competition other than it’s up to organizations to dictate fairness and safety. Title IX rules Biden had proposed said you cant ban transgender based on the “idea” of transgender but that it was perfectly reasonable to regulate fairness and competition as it relates to biology. That wasn’t enough for the right who just want them declared freaks and shot in the town square.

Oh, make no mistake about it. Democrats and Biden wanted transgender athletes to compete in women's sports. The original proposal was modified likely for political reasons in an election year.

Schools and colleges across the U.S. would be forbidden from enacting outright bans on transgender athletes under a proposal released Thursday by the Biden administration, but teams could create some limits in certain cases — for example, to ensure fairness.

The proposed rule sends a political counterpunch toward a wave of Republican-led states that have sought to ban trans athletes from competing in school sports that align with their gender identities. If finalized, the proposal would become enshrined as a provision of Title IX, the landmark gender-equity legislation enacted in 1972.

Biden proposal would bar schools from enacting outright bans on trans athletes

Republicans aren't saying that a guy can't pretend to be a girl or that anything is necessarily wrong with that(IMO, a mental illness), just that they can't compete against biological females. Most normal Americans, even most Democrats, would agree with that and would be fine with legislation that banned such practices. The Democratic Party isn't, thus another example of just how out of touch they are.

No. That is exactly the point you missed because you don’t fundamentally understand the approach of liberals. It’s more about your ignorance and lack of curiosity that gets you where you are. A simple morning of research would open you eyes greatly.

Ditto. You don't understand the approach of Republicans.

Again. You are confusing cheap with quality. Cost of living is a measure of being cheap. Standard of living is a measure of quality: cost and benefits. Being able to go to a broadway show, a world class restaurant, access to airports and top tier medical treatment. Plopping a shoddy house down in the middle of nowhere is cheap. Quality living isnt found there.

No, not at all. I live in the suburbs of a city/town where I can see a Broadway show, has fantastic restaurants, top tier medical facilities, including a medical school. We are far from being out in the middle of nowhere. We have a plethora of golf courses and lakes. We have a Starbucks on every corner, if that is your thing. IT is much cleaner than any large city I have ever seen. We have far less crime. And guess what? The cost of living is still far, far lower than it is in big blue cities. What this all means is that I have a better standard of living and a lower cost of living than I would have if I lived in a big blue city. Like I mentioned previously, I got a taste of what it is like to be wealthy in Manhattan. It still wouldn't compare, even if I had 10 times the income I have now.

There is a reason we are being invaded by people leaving those places you describe. They have recognized that they can live much better here. Of course the problem is they bring their politics with them, which, if they become the majority, will destroy the very thing they came here for in the first place. I am hoping they see the light.

LOL. You have no idea what you are talking about why you are worried about my taxes baffles the shit out of me. I am no billionaire but people like me and richer are getting great kickbacks from you conservative folks. Keep it up.

What kickbacks are these? I am "rich" too by Democratic standards. I would love to know the kickbacks you receive. My family pays more taxes than most people make. I fail to see how I am not paying my fair share.

It is your ignorance that is out of touch. You cant ban someone just because they are trans is all it says. However for specific safety or competitive issues there is no restrictions from having measures in place. Most sports have rules about competing in place. Shit, world wide there is always some hard to classify individiual out of 7 billion on earth and that's what competitive rules do.

Ditto. You don't understand the approach of Republicans.

Your town sucks ass for sure. What town is it? Or if you want to keep that private give me a similar town to yours that you think is awesome.

People retire to low cost areas, not high standard of living areas. They live in NYC they go to die in Florida. Awesome brag.

My taxes are $20,000-30,000 less under Trump than Obama due to the Trump tax cut. Thank you rubes!

Instead of me telling you where I live, why don't we talk about these great cities. Do you contend NYC would have a better standard of living than my town? The cost of living raise would have to be astronomical and even then it wouldn't touch it. My relative's apartment on 5th Ave. was North of 5 million and wasn't as nice as a 750k home in my town. Yeah, he could walk out on the street and walk over to Central Park, during the day of course. The problem is, Central Park isn't even as nice as the numerous parks in my area. You could hear horns blowing all hours of the night. You still didn't feel safe walking down the street at night. He could just about walk to the MET. Neat, but how many times are you going to do that? Visit one weekend and see the MET...done. He could go to a Broadway show. Again, neat, but our theatre is actually nicer than those on Broadway and those shows come to my town as well. You could also visit one weekend to see a show. His taxes were astronomical, traffic was horrible, he had parking under the builiding and that was a luxury. Seriously, few that have ever lived in nice areas well outside these cities would choose to be there. They are there because they are getting paid larger salaries that may allow them to retire somewhere nice someday.

They retire in Florida and in other Southern states to get away from the disasters they were forced to live in to make the money they wanted to make. Also, many of these people also have vacation homes in Florida as a way to escape. There is no comparison in the standard of living. Sorry.

Why don't you just add that back to your taxes at the end of year if you feel so bad about it?

You think the losers of MAGA are “normal” ? lol. It’s exactly because magas are losers Trump can use them. We are all laughing at you guys getting punked while Trump makes us wealthier off your back. You deserve it. Trump has made my life easier at the expense of the masses and farmers and workers. lol. What a con.
You have a 19 percent approval rating

Haha and you are calling others losers? Haha

Women from NYC are way more scared of a pickup truck of white dudes in Tennessee than they are to walk down a Manhattan street. They think everyone is from Deliverance Tennessee just like you think there is a shoot out in NYC every street corner. Its all just what you are used to.

You are still confusing standard of living with cost. Your town is boring as shit compared to NYC which might suit you fine, but if you like culture, art and stuff that isnt boring NYC blows your town away and you have to pay for that. That is why stuff cost more. Cuz MORE people want to live there then random shit down in red state.

Nope. Its all just costs. They are no longer interested in the amazing stuff of NYC so they go to a slower life as they prepare for death.
Why don't you just add that back to your taxes at the end of year if you feel so bad about it?
The fact that you are supporting my tax deduction makes me happy. Keep it up.

Not at all surprised, women from NYC are pretty stupid and prejudice in my experience, in particular the ones from the upper west side

You seriously sound like a person that has never actually been to the nice areas in these red states. I can name many towns that your would recognize in my state that offer a vastly superior standard of living than NYC. It isn't even close. People flock to big cities for jobs, not for a high quality of life.

Nope. Its all just costs. They are no longer interested in the amazing stuff of NYC so they go to a slower life as they prepare for death.

Nope, it most definitely is not cost. If so, why did so many of my relative's neighbors have homes in Florida and other Southern states? They wanted to get away. In fact, they spent more time away than in NYC. They just poked in once a month of so just to check on things. Also, the mass exoduses from places like NYC after COVID was because many of these people were able to work from home. They figured out that "home" could be a really nice place on with a much better standard of living for the same or less money. They moved. The only reason most people would come back is because work dictates it. You sound like a 23 year-old who is still into the party scene and are willing to live in a dump in exchange for nightlife. Most mature adults quickly grow out of that crap. Those that don't are Democrats.

Makes me happy too. Neither of us should be paying more than our fair share.

Go ahead. You keep threatening to give me the awesome red cities but then you dont. Waiting........

Life changes happen sure. My folks arent running around town doing stuff. They just sit around and visit battlefields and stuff.. old people stuff. No reason to pay to be near cool stuff when you dont do it anymore.. sure.

I have a home in Florida. Its at the beach. Florida has a great beach. Guess what? My place is expensive because it is a 60 second walk to the beach one block away. If it were on the beach it would cost double/triple. I dont have a house there because it is cheap or because I love the Florida government. I have it because my wife is a beach girl and likes to go there.
Makes me happy too. Neither of us should be paying more than our fair share.
Fair share is tricky. I probably pay 10Xs your taxes but i also have 10Xs as much as you to lose if it all falls apart. So fair share is tricky to calculate.

Go ahead. You keep threatening to give me the awesome red cities but then you dont.

I am still waiting on you to name an awesome blue city. NYC sure isn't one. Chicago, nope. LA, not. Can you think of some?

Life changes happen sure. My folks arent running around town doing stuff. They just sit around and visit battlefields and stuff.. old people stuff. No reason to pay to be near cool stuff when you dont do it anymore.. sure.

Yep, you are still a kid. By cool stuff, give me some examples? I have already mentioned that we have Broadway shows that come to our local theatre, which as nice if not nicer than any venue I have been to on Broadway in NYC. Lots of bars and stuff? Yeah, we have those too if that is your thing. Obviously not as many as NYC, but plenty for sure. We also have "cool" outdoor stuff that is not easily accessible in NYC or many other large urban areas. Beautiful lakes, hunting, fishing, hiking etc.

I have a home in Florida. Its at the beach. Florida has a great beach. Guess what? My place is expensive because it is a 60 second walk to the beach one block away. Neat, I know Florida quite well. Almost bought a place on Marco a few years back. Too many Northerners and lefties for my liking so will likely buy somewhere on the panhandle instead. Florida real estate isn't cheap except by comparison to NYC. It is a bargain. Florida's government is far superior. I feel sorry for the poor upstate New Yorkers, many of whom I know who have moved down. They must suffer the consequences of the ridiculous policies of the lefties in NYC who are on the verge of election a Socialist as their next mayor.

Fair share is tricky. I probably pay 10Xs your taxes but i also have 10Xs as much as you to lose if it all falls apart. So fair share is tricky to calculate.

I know you don't pay 10x my taxes because you said you got a 20k tax break under Trump. I can do the math.

It is not going to fall apart because of Trump's policies. Democrats do protect the very rich though, so you have everything backwards. Democrats punish what I would call the working wealthy. The expect them to pick up the tax burden while leaving the ultra-rich to tend to their multi-million dollar yachts and homes in the Hamptons, for which they want to right off their extraordinarily high property taxes essentially off loading their local property tax burden on the federal government and tax payers from lower tax states. Yeah, you don't get it or don't care, but if you are not ultra-wealthy, you have been completely duped.

I am still waiting on you to name an awesome blue city. NYC sure isn't one. Chicago, nope. LA, not. Can you think of some?
Coward. NYC is great. So are many cities. Youre the one who said there are places better than NYC. So let me know where that is. I live in Charlotte which is a great city. It’s not NYC but beats living in a town with nothing to do.

Yep, you are still a kid. By cool stuff, give me some examples? I have already mentioned that we have Broadway shows that come to our local theatre, which as nice if not nicer than any venue I have been to on Broadway in NYC. Lots of bars and stuff? If it is so wonderful in these places then why are homes cheap? Because there is no demand to live there. That’s how you know how awesome a place is. We are a capitalist society and we value stuff. According to capitalism the most desired places to live in America base on rent per sqft are:

1. Washington DC
2. San Fransisco, CA
3. NYC, NY
4. Boston, MA
5. San Jose, CA
6. San Diego, CA
7. Seattle, WA
8. Los Angeles, CA
9. Chicago, IL
10. Philadelphia, PA

That is where people want to live. That is where people will spend money to live. Your town has to give away land cheap to get people there. The dollar never lies.

Florida land is cheap away from the water. It is getting more expensive though as people move there. Soon it wont be a bargain to live in a sweaty swamp drained area and prices will plateau. The beach will always appreciate. I feel good about my place gaining value.
I know you don't pay 10x my taxes because you said you got a 20k tax break under Trump. I can do the math.
You have to make over $800k to be in the 1% and anyone making say, over a million a year pays in around $300k in federal income taxes but got a $20-30k break next year. Last year the average American pays less than $10k so i am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you make a lot more than average.

Trump passes multiple tax cuts that benefit the top and still you think he is looking out for you. Cracks me up. He is looking out for me, or more accurately, those who make way more than me.

Coward. NYC is great. So are many cities. Youre the one who said there are places better than NYC. So let me know where that is. I live in Charlotte which is a great city. It’s not NYC but beats living in a town with nothing to do.

I used to live in Charlotte(Pineville). Hated it. My current location puts it to shame. We don’t live in the middle of nowhere, we just don’t live in a huge blue, high tax cesspool. And NYC is an absolute dump by comparison. Neat to visit, but talk about a downgrade in standard of living. Yikes.

If it is so wonderful in these places then why are homes cheap?

People go where the jobs are and where the higher paying jobs are. Many are tricked into believing that making 300k/yr in NYC is better than making 150k/yr in a smaller town in TN, for example. They are willing to live in a shoebox just so they can hit the bars every night. Again, it is immaturity. Like I have said many times before, there is a reasson that the average 16-year old identifies as a Democrat. They are unwise and immature. Unfortunately, many of those, particularly those living in blue cities surrounded by other like minded lemmings, never grow up and out of it. This is exactly why NYC is about to elect a Socialists. Adults that have never matured beyond a naive 16-year old will elect him.

That is where people want to live. That is where people will spend money to live. Your town has to give away land cheap to get people there. The dollar never lies.

My town is actually not cheap, just cheap by NYC standards. Average income in my town is higher than in Charlotte. Higher income, coupled with lower taxes and lower housing cost = a better standard of living. We have nice amenities, including beautiful parks and are safer as well. Not to mention the traffic.

Hey, you do you. I am glad that people want to live in an ant hill. I don’t want our area to continue to be flooded by big city dwellers.

You have to make over $800k to be in the 1% and anyone making say, over a million a year pays in around $300k in federal income taxes but got a $20-30k break next year. Last year the average American pays less than $10k so i am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you make a lot more than average.

Like I said, you mentioned that you likely pay 10x my income tax. That is not the case if you only got a 20-30k tax break. Not even close.

Trump passes multiple tax cuts that benefit the top and still you think he is looking out for you. Cracks me up. He is looking out for me, or more accurately, those who make way more than me.

The other brackets were cut as well? How did you miss that? Oh wait, I know. The media blitz that claimed that the rich, and ONLY the rich, got tax cuts. You were duped like the rest of the cult that votes for Democrats. The upper brackets already pay more than the lower, so it stands to reason that they should ALSO get a break when taxes are cut.

Peace Prize for Trump? Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Benjamin Netanyahu. It is hard to imagine a greater breach with the values of the prize.

‘From the first Peace Prize in 1901 until today, the prize has rewarded work for international cooperation, free trade, disarmament and brotherhood between peoples... Trump has abandoned almost all of the ideals mentioned above. He has refused to recognize a democratic election and inspired supporters to commit coups..... [the authors list Trump's various sins against peace and humanity]

Trump has threatened NATO allies, Canada and Denmark. He is against free trade and uses tariffs as a political tool to pressure other countries to impose his will. The international order has largely been replaced by "might is right."...

The Nobel Committee has received an absurd nomination this summer. Accused of genocide, Benjamin Netanyahu has nominated his accomplice, Donald Trump, for the Nobel Peace Prize. A mental breakdown of the committee is needed for Trump to fulfill his dream of being named Prince of Peace.’

Trump's various crimes against peace and humanity.

Trump’s desire to win the Nobel Prize is in part arrogance but mostly his racist, bizarre obsession with President Obama.
Obama's Peace Prize was a farse. If Trump wins one it will have been earned 5 times over.
