The problem is, Trump is using tariffs as a weapon against other countries who have unfair trade practices against us, which causes those other countries to make trade deals with the US, which is all good. But, the fact is, as we do these trade deals which help the US, there won't be any more tariffs to generate income. However, we will collect more taxes from the increased GDP when we get to that point. But, there won't be any tariffs left anymore.
