For the president to use his position and powers for personal benefit is defined as "corruption". Period.
Improving the economy (not sure he did because the RATE of improvement has been the same since the prior administration) - may benefit him personally, but it is part of his job to do it.
Strong arming foreign leaders into trying to find or manufacture political dirt on his personal political opponents is corruption.
