No matter your opinion of Trump, the gauntlet he had to face for a second term is unprecedented and impressive.

Here is the timeline

1. In April 2016 — before Trump even won the GOP nomination — Politico reported that there was talk of impeaching Trump soon after he took office, were he to be nominated for the presidency and win. Then-U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., said at the time that if Trump insisted on building a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border despite Congress’s opposition, his actions could lead down a path toward impeachment.

2. On 6/18/16, the first assassination attempt of Trump was conducted in Las Vegas

3. In December 2016, five Democratic senators, including 2020 presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, announced they would introduce a bill to require Trump to divest assets that could pose a conflict of interest in his role as president. They said the legislation would symbolically make violations of federal conflict-of-interest rules "a high crime or misdemeanor under the impeachment clause of the U.S. Constitution."

4. On 9/6/17 a man in North Dakota admitted to trying to kill Trump with a forklift.

5. In December of 2019, Covid hit the US as the media continually blamed Trump for the outbreak. Every day the media would proclaim how many lives died under Trump and that Trump was to blame. Trump fast forwarded a vaccine to try and combat the virus, only to have it Ok'd to be used a week after the election in which he lost to Biden, essentially because the world blamed Trump for the virus and its ill effects and his supposed incompetence to manage the virus. After Biden came into office, more people died under his watch with a vaccine to fight it, yet was not held to account like Trump. In fact, Biden accused Trump of xenophobia for stopping plane rides from China to the US when the outbreak first occurred. Then to add insult to injury, Biden mandated the Trump vaccine as he used it to club dissent from the Trump supporters and never gave Trump the credit for the vaccine in the first place.

6. On 1/16/20 the first articles of impeachment were passed by the House for Obstruction of Justice over a Russian collusion charge that took an investigation 3 years to determine, only to have it fall short in the Senate.

7. On 1/13/21, the second articles of impeachment were passed by the House, despite the fact that Trump was going to leave office in less than a month anyway. This was over a charge of trying to of trying to create an insurrection to overthrow the election results. It too later fell flat in the Senate.

8. In 2019, Jean Caroll sued Trump for defamation, for saying she was lying about him raping her in 1995. In a New York court, she won millions.

9. In 2022, Jean Caroll sued Trump again for defamation once again, as he defended himself once again as being innocent and her lying. Another New York court agreed as she won more money. Meanwhile, Biden was accused by Tara Reid of rape which he denied saying she was lying, and nothing was done about it.

10. 3/23, Indictments for Trump falsifying records with 34 charges was presented in another New York Court and upheld, later turning a misdemeanor into a felony for bad bookkeeping.

11. On 6/23 another indictment was issued with 40 charges related to Trump having confidential documents that should be returned, much like Biden and Pence and Obama had in their possession but never pursued legally as a criminal for.

12. On 8/23 another indictment was issued against Trump with 4 charges of trying to overthrow an election

13. On 8/23 another indictment was issued with 8 charges for trying to change election outcomes.

So, what can the Left do to Trump it has not already tried to do? Will they do everything in their power to crash the economy, or maybe hope China springs another virus?

The Democrats have essentially neutered themselves in challenging the election results because they have demonized anyone who might challenge them.

I think it was a mistake by the courts to not allow the case brought by Trump to be heard. I realize that courts have the right to dismiss cases they deem unsubstantiated, but that was not normal court case. The courts had a duty to present the case before the American people to show them if was unsubstantiated, but failed epically.

Don’t forget the obstruction of justice and witness tampering charges given he refused to turn over the documents when given a subpoena.

Not that it matters to you guys.

What’s political about prosecuting someone for obstruction of justice? Last time I checked that was kind of a big deal and people get prosecuted for it all the time.
LOL, take a cue from "Frozen" and LET IT GO. Marchan will surely dismiss these charges now and if he is ignorant enough to push it further, it will just end in a pardon. Merrick Garland will be unceremoniously retired Jan. 20 and we will once again have a department of JUSTICE. Dry your eyes. Happy Days are here again.

Sure. Because the rule of law doesn’t actually matter, right?

Why are you so happy that Trump can break the law and get away with it? How is the country better because of this?

Because the rule of law DOES matter. The political persecutions that the democrats have presided over against this man for eight years are criminal. The best thing that could have happened is what occurred on Nov. 5, 2024. A Trump presidency, a conservative senate and hopefully republican house. Happy Days are here again.

Because we are returning to the rule of law, not the rule of "You hurt my feelings so I'm going to throw a temper tantrum and twist the law to my own illegal use." Gaslighting doesn't work anymore, moron. I would have thought you would have learned something last night. LOL, SMH, democrats are some kind of stupid.

Oh okay. Like the rules that you can’t take classified documents home. And the rules that if you get a court ordered subpoena, you have to comply with it.

Those are the rules that the DoJ was trying to enforce.

Or are you someone who believes politicians don’t have to follow the rules?

Like you gave Biden a free pass for when he was actually guilty of the charge? Trump had authority--regardless of what your illegal prosecutor says. Still barking at the moon, LOL, let it go.
Former presidents have no authority to keep and retain classified documents. Zero.

Does he have authority to defy a court ordered subpoena?

That is one of THE most lamest charges. Anybody can commit this if the interrogators are good.
