Im not going to mention his absurd pretect to deny aid to a dem state.
But really we cant ignore the latest story about Pete "Pete" Hegseth, probably the most dismal man in federal govt.

Hes wrapped up in a nutty faux christan cult

Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary, endorsed an extremist Christian doctrine that envisions civil government being subordinate to Old Testament law in a series of podcasts released last year.

The doctrine of “sphere sovereignty”, a position rooted in the extremist beliefs of Christian reconstructionism (CR), calls for capital punishment for homosexuality and strictly patriarchal families and churches.
I need to look into these wierdos a bit more, They cant be that bad. Burning witches is one thing but there is some scary shit on the Old Testament.

It wont help Donny mend fences with the church. They are quite patient with these cults but that supposes that they have no influence.

No serious politician would give these loons a job But here we are. In the Age of Trump. The dumbest man on the planet.

Let's just make the leap that this is all true.

Which most sane folks will very much doubt. There is a reason this Royal Propaganda rag never gives us links to what it claims.

I do not understand how this is any different than the communists, Muslims and queers in the last administration, with their agendas were any different.

Not that it makes much of a difference. None of them, whether in the last admin., or this one, can pursue an unconstitutional agenda.

Only the dumb and low IQ bleev this sort of propaganda.

oh well

Yes, it's the case here. The US has a very primitive and puritanical form of Christianity, stems right back to the earliest colonists. These people are no better that Muslims who advocate Sharia law, religious fundamentalists and these are a huge source of Trump's support.

I just wanted to post the original interview that Guardian info was taken from.

It is four hour, hour/half interviews. It would be real nice if they told us which video and minute mark their accusations are taken from, but they won't. This makes me sus, but it isn't worth my time to watch all five hours. If they won't tell us EXACTLY WHERE to listen? Or link to their accusations, I am sus of the whole narrative TBH.

This was just a quick look into it, and yeah, he does have some erroneous views of the founders and constitution.

If we were Puritans, Biden's whole family would be hung, along with that witch, Pelosi...:stir:

. . . and thank goodness we have moved beyond all that. . . .

According to the enlightenment values that Constitution was written from, the government cannot dictate folks deeply held beliefs, regardless of if others like them or not.

OTH? Pushing queer theory/critical theory concepts to folks children in public schools, w/o their knowledge or approval, likewise crosses that line. This type of subversive activity is no different that what Christians are doing via the post made above by RWer.

It's not a leap. Hegseth is a Christian extremist. He even has a tattoo to show it.

Hegseth is a Christian extremist.
Not a big deal, we have already had extremists in the last administration.
