Trump's big bill teeters as House conservatives say it's not brutal enough

ā€˜House Speaker Mike Johnson acknowledged there are still details to ā€œiron outā€ on President Donald Trump’s big tax breaks bill as conservative Republicans insist on quicker cuts to Medicaid and green energy programs before giving their full support.

House Republicans narrowly advanced the sprawling 1,116-page package in a rare weekend vote late Sunday, but just barely, as GOP leaders promise more negotiations ahead.’

The reprehensible right.

The Republican war on working Americans, low-income Americans, disabled Americans, retired Americans, and children continues.
What’s reprehensible about it? Didn’t moodys just lower our credit rating after two other companies did, specifically citing that we hadn’t done enough cut?? Seems like we need to cut more and more

No need to look at Medicaid though. Look to areas of commerce and such.

Why? We need more trade, that makes more money, we need that to show credit rating agencies we can pay our debt…Medicaid and Medicare are the largest drivers of debt

You don't think well, I have noticed.

They needed it and did not have it. Now the have it, and that makes you spit nails.
They needed it cause they got poorer. Medicaid is for people in poverty

Xiden made a majority of Americans worse off, that’s not a good thing. Govts shouldn’t make more people poor

You don’t think well

$2 trillion deficits hurt the low-income, disabled, and retired Murcans, along with the sainted cheeeelllldren, the most.

Does the sanctimony of you neo-Marxist jackasses ever end?

I am right in that you don't think well. Americans were better off in 2024 than 2020, which is a good thing.

Do you remember obamacare when Pelosi said that they have to
pass the Bill to see what's in it?

She was such a prize.

congress doesnt read those bills, they have their staffers break it up and skim through it and pull out talking points so they can go on camera and bash it or support it.

there's no way they are reading 1000-5000 page bills in 1-3 days. Have you seen how they are written?. Even if they did read it, it would them 6 months to cross reference all the existing laws that the new bill makes changes to.

Yes, the trillion dollars Trump's tax cuts for the rich will add to the debt absolutely must be offset by taking medical care away from Trump's low income supporters.

We live in a plutocracy.

At least the Republicans are working with the Democrats on the Bill.
Only because the GOP has a one person advantage and there are defectors who refuse to vote for a bill that cuts Medicaid.

Unlike when the Democrats refused to share what their Bill said to the Republicans.
Oh, you do NOT want to go there!

And Pelosi told them, "We must pass the Bill and you can read it later".
No, Pelosi said, "We have to pass the bill so we can see what's in it."

She was stating what is common knowledge about any large bill, like this current one. Large bills have unanticipated fallout and you never know until you pass it.

For example, the Trump tax cuts. You never really know how much revenue you lose until you pass it and find out.

You never know how many dirt poor Trumptards are going to lose their healthcare until you pass it.

The Bill passed out of committee Sunday night.

:oops8:

BTW.....Chip Roy and Co. were justified in opposing it too so it got tweaked to half-way suit them.

Tell us the name of a single House Conservative who said they wanted a more brutal bill.

The Republican war on working Americans, low-income Americans, disabled Americans, retired Americans, and children continues.

Oh the horror. What will democrats do now that someone else is working Americans, low-income Americans, disabled Americans, retired Americans, and children other than them for a change, and all for the better instead of for some global agenda???

"You want to fuck over the poor with this bill?"
"Yes, I do."
"Well, go back and try harder, I doubt one third of them will die from this bill, make sure at least half of the fucking plebs die"
