That's only because Congress doesn't exist any longer. Johnson has, in essence, disbanded Congress. They're not legislating, or doing anything that approaches "oversight".

Like I said dummy. Your life is at stake. You can vote for the labor party or for your bosses. If you vote for labor, you will get a raise. If you vote for your bosses you won't get a raise.

Now your bosses have tried to convince you to vote against giving yourself a raise but they can't get you to do that. You aren't that dumb right? So the next best thing to do is to convince you that voting doesn't matter. Don't bother to show up to vote for giving you a raise because both parties are just as bad. Neither party really wants to give you a raise. So just don't show up to vote at all.

The last thing you would want to do is vote Democratic, or for a raise, or to stop your own execution. Do I have this right?
