Every so often after one of Trump's enormities I read that his popularity is sinking. Unfortunately, when I look at Five Thirty Eight, it seems like he is holding his own.

Donald Trump : Favorability Polls | FiveThirtyEight

Trump is the patron saint of unemployed factory workers. There is no future in factory work.

factoryjobs 2.webp

When Henry Ford opened his first assembly line, he paid twice the going rate for factory work. He said, "I want my workers to be able to buy the cars they make."

He also said, "It will be a haven for guys who haven't got the brains for anything else."

For several generations it was. Now the haven is coming to an end. Most of them lack the intelligence to learn a skilled trade, like auto mechanics. To get into a trade school to learn something like that one needs to pass a mantal aptitude test.

Trump cannot help them, and does not really care about them, but he gives them hate targets at whom to direct their anger.

So was Biden’s solution better? Bring in 10 million unskilled, semi-literate illegal aliens to compete with low-income workers? Or the Democrats’ current approach to fight against having them deported?

As far as ā€œhate targets,ā€ whom do you claim Trump is targeting? The illegals who stream in and undercut wages? Who drive up rents? Who lower the caliber of public schools?

ā€œWhen Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.ā€

That didn’t answer my question.

Biden and the Democrats have made things much worse by importing illegal aliens to compete with low-income American citizens.

We could make it cheaper to manufacture goods in the US and bring US manufacturing jobs back to the US,
but progressives prefer managed American decline.
Yup. And part of the way they do it is by incentivizing uneducated, unskilled illegals to come here by the millions.

The American people deserve a better choice than Biden and a foul mouthed, ignorant, low class bounder who has the vocabulary of a fourth grader, the personality of a spoiled child, and the character of a juvenile delinquent.

Non not her either. The man most responsible for the re election of the Vagina Grabber is Biden. Shortly after he was inaugurated in 2021 he should have announced that he did not intend to run for reelection. That would have opened the Democrat to a more appealing candidate that Kamala Hariss.

Which Democrat would you want to see become president?

I do not have a favorite, but I am sure there is someone out there who is better than the man who told Howard Sterm he could refer to Ivanka as "a piece of ***."

I like his policies - shrink the bloated government, stop the invasion of illegals, put more requirements on welfare, and have the strength necessarily to curtail enemies from starting wars, among other things.

And as far as ā€œcharacter,ā€ Biden was a corrupt individual turning his family into multimillionaires by taking bribes and layoffs from communists,

Cant think of even ONE Democrat who would be better than Trump, or Vance for that matter?

Hector12.

FIrst of all, you are attacking Trump for supporting the factory workers.

YOu are attacking the factory workers for supporting Trump.

Your position on factory workers, is "there is no future in factory work".

From everything I have seen, your position on that, is typical for... the anti-trumpers.

From your own graph, there are still 12 million factory workers.

THe factory workers, they generally are aware that people like you, don't support their interests in policy. YOu think the way forward for the nation is some other way.

So, they support politically, the politicians that says he will support their interests.

Hector12. That all makes sense.

That it bothers you, is a you issue. YOU for some reason are offended that people you don't care about, people that you don't want to do anything for, support someone who will.

Can you not respect that people that you don't like are supporting someone else? I mean, you clearly have nothing but contempt for them. So, why doesn't it make sense to you that they are on the other side from you?

What's Biden got to do with any of this?

There are a lot of bitter people here, I’m one of them’: rust belt voters on why they backed Trump again despite his broken promises

The last time Donald Trump was president, he travelled to Youngstown, Ohio, among the most depressed of America’s rust belt cities, and promised voters the impossible.

The high-paying steel, railroad and car industry jobs that once made Youngstown a hard-living, hard-drinking blue-collar boom town were coming back, he said. ā€œDon’t move. Don’t sell your house,ā€ he crowed to a rapturous crowd in 2017. ā€œWe’re going to fill up those factories – or rip ā€em down and build brand new onesā€.

That, too, did not happen. People moved away, marriages broke down, depression soared and, locals say, a handful of people took their own lives.

None of that happened. Indeed, within 18 months, General Motors (GM) announced that it was suspending operations at its one remaining manufacturing plant outside Youngstown, throwing 5,000 jobs into jeopardy in a community with little else to cling to. Trump’s reaction was to say the closure didn’t matter, because the jobs would be replaced ā€œin, like, two minutesā€.

Trump's lying promises won't pay their bills.

What Communists? The American Communist Party has never been prominent in the United States. Right now, it consists of a few thousand members. Their bribes, if they exist, have not turned the Biden family into multi millionaires.
