Trump wills and wonts

I'm pondering which promises made by Trump are likely to be honored or pursued and which were simply pre-election rhetoric.

Let's get clear folks.

All promises made by both sides are pre-election rhetoric.

We don't elect kings.

We elect a president, we elect a house, we elect a senate.

And those in the houses are not duplicates. The parties are not monoliths as demonstrated by Manchin and Sinnema saving the GOP's ass on several occasions.

What Washington does has little effect on us. But we got all nuts over it.

It is the promised abuse of power (as demonstrated by Biden) to homogonize the country that is what you need to worry about. It is those who think they know what is better for you than you do (i.e. the Al Gores of the world) that you need to fear.

There is no way to draw that conclusion from what I have said.

You are a moron. What's new ?
At least I'm not a MAGAT.

What you believe is of little to no value to me.

You really have to give the “educated” left credit. They start an op then they go all fifth grader if someone does not agree with them.
Trump will give the Boarder Patrol and ICE back their ability to deport and detain. He will reinstate stay in Mexico, probably to even talking about Mexico removing some of those at the border. He will put tariffs in place.
He might even drop taxes. He will definitely stop taxing tips.
He will probably try and get some more wall built.
He will definitely drop the amount of government employees.
He will not need to do anything about abortion as it has been decided that it is in the hands of the states and it is not a government decision.

And sometimes people elect a maniac.

I'm pondering which promises made by Trump are likely to be honored or pursued and which were simply pre-election rhetoric. Now that he's been elected he can do what suits him and has no obligation to honor his voters, he lies to everyone even them but they're too dimwitted to admit it.

1. Mass deportations
Personally I don't see him doing this, he will likely make some announcement and waffle about this but the scale of the project and his lack of leadership skills mean this is likely a pipe-dream for the MAGATS. The cost is off the scales, the logistics is huge, the removal of low wage workers will impact thousands of business and either cause job losses, price increases or both, consider the farm workers for example.

I cannot think of even one reason why Trump would put any effort into this, for him it's irrelevant now that he's elected, like the wall before it and Mexico paying for it, this is all hot air and bluster.

2. Abortion
Likewise, I don't see any reason for him to spend any time or resources on this, it is what it is and he likely doesn't give a shit. He's already made his mark here, his name is forever tied to overturning Rowe v Wade and that's all he cares about.

3. Tax
Yes, he will likely make some decisions here but no idea what, he'll do something that he feels proves his value, boosts his ego, the effort to is minimal, just sign a few documents and back to the golf course.

4. Tariffs
Yes, again he craves attention and praise and like Tax all he has to do is sign a letter or two and it's done.

5. Revenge
Yes, this might be where he really spends most of his time, he's great at hating people and great at destroying things that work (as he did with the pandemic master plan during Covid). So I expect him to really devote energy here, nullifying all the cases against him, refusing to pay any fines or damages to people and be utterly unaccountable. He will likely honor the promise to pardon the hundreds of insurrectionists again because it's easy, just sign a few forms and back to the golf.

The question MAGATS need to ask is, what does Trump really care about? and at 78 he is likely going to pursues personal goals and not put effort into hard problems, if it can be done with a signature he'll do it, if it requires thinking, planning, organizing and motivating people he just won't do it because he can't do that very well.
Great topic! These questions are what his win is all about now Here are some answers based on logical thinking..

1. Mass deportation is impossible and so that's the biggest lie of all.
2. Changes are impossible and won't be attempted. (election bullshit)
3. The tax burden can be tampered with as long as the giving and the taking results in the same net taxation is maintained.
4. Tariffs are the property of the all-powerful. America used to be! Actions taken against the Brics will be suicidal for America. Wouldn't Trump already know that?
5. Trump needs to make friends and so any revenge will be counter productive and could be hazardous to his health. He will know that.
The emphasis will be on making it appear that he's getting revenge. As will be the case with nearly all the promises being kept.

From a foreign POV, it's the perfect storm that America has created for itself. The military willing?

Yes, what I need is someone else telling me what to do.

Find someone who cares about your opinion.

LOL, and I'm sure David Muir told you himself. BULLSHIT. Try again.
Just watch him...
LMAO, you and Heels Up are competing for the Karnac title, eh. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda. STFU and climb on the bus or get thrown under it. This election has stated unequivocally that we are tired of the democrat obstructionist, illegal, political persecution. Enjoy the next four years of peace and prosperity. MAGA.

Just watch the guy who:

1. Was compared to Hitler
2. Was on the business end of major lawfare
3. Was shot at

Do what ?

Maybe you should follow your own advice. I love the sound of democrat sobs.
He's a left winger.

He has no issue telling others what to do.

It's how they roll.

White 6 is cut from the same cloth.

This is the Sore Loser syndrome the left experiences when people don't jump in line with what they feel they should do.

Trump is not going to do anything radical. He didn't do enough his first term around.

What he won't do is cut the deficit (but would have skyrocketted under Harris)....like he didn't do the first time around.

Not much else matters.

Trump will make liberals cry for four more years. Trump will likely seat one or more Supreme Court Justices. Trump will gain control of the border and deport illegal aliens. Good enough for me.

Just watch the guy who:

1. Was compared to Hitler
There are striking similarities but Trump is far less intelligent.
2. Was on the business end of major lawfare
Why not drop this silly denialism? he lost in 2020 - admit it, he's a convicted criminal and rapist - admit it.
3. Was shot at
Yes, I even got out of my swimming pool and put aside my drink to watch that on TV.
Do what ?
I thought you didn't want me to tell you what to do? :dunno:

A new report from the American Immigration Council, an immigration rights research and policy firm, estimates that to deport even one million undocumented immigrants a year would cost over $88 billion dollars annually, for a total of $967.9 billion over more than ten years.

In Mesa Arizona, right after Brewer signed SB 1070, some classrooms emptied by as much as 25%.

They left on their own.
