In the
process of developing a strategy - RUFKM Donald? You're about 6 months too late dude. Should have started that when you were warned in January.
In fact, Joe Biden warned us in a late January op-ed that we were ill-prepared, that it was time to do that THEN, and that you were "THE worst possible leader to deal with a pandemic".
Donald Trump has blithely tweeted that 'it will all work out well.' Yet the steps he's taken as president have only weakened our capacity to respond.

So here we are America .. pushing 150,000 (likely a 20% undercount) dead Americans later and maybe it's time to develop a strategy?
Jesus, what a mess.
Seriously here, when has any republican or conservative ever taken preventative steps to protect our nation beyond shoveling billions at the military industrial complex and taking away our rights because of "terrorists?" When it comes to protecting and shoveling money into the pockets of their donors or themselves, they are first in line. The rest of us are on our own.
When it comes to honestly doing the right thing the republicans always say we don't have the money.
We would if they had not gone on a 40 year tax cut binge for the rich and big business.
Republicans are the people who deny any problem until it's out of control and they're forced to take action.
You know Dana, it is interesting the mutations that took place after Donald was elected. He instilled SO much needless fear among the few honest to God conservatives who were left to the point where they fell in line like little zombies.
Trumpism is officially a CULT. And there is nothing "conservative" about it. I don't want the party to go off a cliff - the way of the Whigs. We NEED at least two healthy parties. But I fear that is where we're headed.
Thanks Donald
This has been a process over 40 years. It didn't happen over the last 5 years.
This all started with reagan. He invited the crazy people into the republican Party. He embraced them. The republicans after him did the same thing. They went against Goldwater's advice. Now the crazy people have taken over the party.
With the help of far right radio, tv and internet.
trump is just the mask taken off what the republican party has been for a very long time.
I agree we need two parties for a democracy. I used to want the republicans to clean up their party but now, I see that they never will. The party is just too far gone. So I want them to go the way of the wigs. They need to lose elections. Hopefully the sane republicans and conservatives can start a new party to keep the checks and balances but it will take time. In that time a one party rule isn't good for our nation or democracy.
All of the Republican Party is responsible for what that party has become.
