One thing I've realized about them is that they were conditioned for decades by talk radio to think and talk in constant hyperbole. I noticed that while talking to them in real life.

Then along comes a con man who ALSO communicates in constant hyperbole, plus he's a big celebrity and absolutely shameless and reckless with his words. He validates them.

It was a perfect match, even if what it produces is often mostly fantasy.

I served in the Army, as did my Father and his Father before him. I don't give a shit about about your opinion on a parade for an institution that came into being 171 years before Trump was born.

I wish this parade was about the Army. It isn't , it's all about trump. You've been used again. I had an uncle in the Army and so was one of my oldest sisters, I myself was in the Air Force like my youngest sister. I was watching a Netflix show on cults and beliefs yesterday, and it pointed that once a person gets to a certain point down the rabbit hole, they're so emotionally invested in a belief (whatever it is) that it essentially becomes part of them. That can't be taken away by an outside source, and it's a huge risk for the individual, because they're having to give up so much of themselves. So they just choose to stay and defend it.
