Yeah good luck with that, President Trump. My fellow conservatives have long hated just about everything about teachers. If one teacher in Brooklyn hangs a Pride flag, it means that every school across the land is "indoctrinating" students.

I would be alarmed at the state my profession is in, with teachers not making it past the five year mark and no one going into it. But frankly, we suck as a society. We don't deserve good teachers anymore, and certainly haven't earned them.

Teacher unions have earned their hate.....They are not hated enough IMHO.

When I go to pay my property taxes I hate the rest of them.

How many more years must I pay out the ass just because I own things when none of my kids ever saw the inside of a public school?

We know, you're butthurt because your great-grand goes to a private school which may not be any better than the public school you pay for.

Any producer in this country should be "butt-hurt" given the ass-raping they take when being forced to support failed public schools at tax time.

Then, to add insult to injury, the teacher unions perpetuate the fail by donating to dems.

Trump manufactured hate against schools to rile his supporters up and give them something to be outraged about. It's what he does. Are you just now catching on to that?

Well that's your opinion, and it's a minority one. Most Americans are happy to support their local schools IF the money actually goes to schools and not unions and bureaucracies

Trump had shit all to do with any of that. Teachers, by their actions are responsible.

Have you ever seen a teacher that thought they were paid enough?

They should have their own song.

Kinda caught between a rock and a hard place, aren't you? You really want to agree with everything your cult leader says or does, but this time, his lies and exaggerations hurt you. You know the hate he manufactured is bullshit, but you won't do anything to stop him.

Oh, so you don't read my posts then. I'm just a cartoon character in your head.

Carry on, you don't need me or reading comprehension for that.

That may just be projection for the Dept. of Education. With the ED minimized, if the PSs come around and kid's grades start coming up, I think attitudes towards teachers might change.

The PSs have been buried in an avalanche of bureaucratic red tape.

Teachers for too long have been burdened with far more at school than just teaching kids the 3 Rs.

You have always been an adamant supporter of that fat orange fool. If he hated it, you hated it. Doesn't matter how many lies you and he had to tell to enforce that hate. Now it's you with your titty in the mouse trap. Good.

Sweetheart, I voted for him. I weighed my options and decided he was the best choice.

That's what sane people do. I know it's hard for you to grasp that.

I fear it is too late. It is. It is too late.

I work in a very good district with very good teachers.

I don't know one--not one--who loves their job now. Not even the best ones.

Years ago, I hated teacher negativity, I really did. I thought my job was great. I loved it.

Society has made it unworkable now. As I just posted to RW, the average BABYSITTER gets $25/hour in the US. The average teacher gets $30/hour.

It's just not worth it anymore.

exactly Sue

right now Vermont is going from some 45 supervisory districts to 5

those supervisory administrators are screaming blue bloody murder that the children will suffer

we're talking about the same folks who introduced political agenda(s) in public ed , and basically made it hard on the teachers to do their job, <educate> , the 3 R's

Voters don't get a line item veto, and one can blow chunks at the local school board which will never an a day put a dent in the super unions armor

The only way to rid pub ed of it's biggest problem was to legislate them out

good riddance!

And now you're whining because you are the one put upon this time. You know the hate teachers are receiving is unearned. Wasn't that what you voted for?

I have been in the Education forum talking to fellow conservatives about this for years here. YEARS

Sorry you don't have reading comprehension

Seems cult members don't really care about anyone who doesn't toe the line on every issue. They won't even listen to other cult members when told trump is wrong.

Having fun with cartoon characters again?

You got into bed with people who despise you, and now you feel dirty in the morning?

Here's the thing, Conservatives actually have some valid complaints on this one.

We spend more per student than any country in the world, yet we get the worst results in the industrialized world.

Teacher Unions make it impossible to fire bad teachers and have way too much political influence. (Our last mayoral election was the CTU vs. the FOP, and the FOP lost.)

Not sure what your cartoon characters remark is in reference to, but I'm glad you are among all those other poor teachers who did nothing to deserve what trump foisted on them.
