Perhaps in fairness he has been pushed into this terrible position by Trump and there is little chance he can spin his way out of it. I'm certain he know this is all a terrible idea and now has to portray it favorably. You don't have to take my word for it, listen to Scott Bessnet. He sounds like he was told about this all today.

No one has forecast anything about these tariffs.

We haven't had a Treasury Secretary this century who has had a clue.

With the tariffs going into place the federal government is set to reap a bundle hand-over-fist. Yet once again during the Liberation Day announcement the administration called upon Congress to take up tax cuts while increasing the federal debt limit. It's the same old Washington policy of robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Yep. Clueless. We're screwed unless the use the 25th to get his unhinged, idiot boss, out of the White House.

Boy, what a bunch of pearl clutching losers we have up in this thread. 😐

I'm all for Trump, (because Democrats are the bottom of the barrel in every sense) for the development of American industry at home, but explain this to me:
American capitalists used to buy shoes in China for $2 and sell them for $200 at home. That's how modern capitalism works.
Now you have to produce them in the U.S. for $20 and sell them for the same $200.
The bourgeois don't agree and they are the ones who hold the power in the country...
