Hillary's campaign hired a law firm to continue funding Fusion, or perhaps more likely Fusion contacted Hillary's lawyer, Elias, to step in and fund it's Russia research on Trump after their Republican client dropped out. I think it was Rubio. Fusion was run by an ex-Wall St. Journal reporter, Simpson. Simpson had hired Steel.

Steel had previously investigate Russia and Soccer. Steel was also convinced Russia was interfering with Western elections.

It was not even remotely illegal for Hillary to hire Simpson/Fusion. I don't even see why it would be illegal for Hillary (or any other US candidate) to hire a foreign investigator just to obtain an investigation of facts. Although, I don't think Hillary ever had any direct contact with Steel.

Trumpbots can contend the boychinkins were just meeting with Natashia to see what dirt she had. But factually that doesn't work because they KNEW both she was a lobbyist representing Russian people with Kremlin links, or the Kremlin itself, and they discussed the Maginsly Act, which means they offered to do something to benefit her clients. And that's a lot different from hiring a British private investigator.

Why on Earth would you say that? For one,not everyone running with spies knows they are running with spies....that's kind of how spies work. Second, he has extensive Russian ties, including powerdul Russian oligarchs. I would say that type pf person has better odds of having ties to russian intelligence officers than, say, you or me.
