It does sound like that especially given the MAGA disdain for education. You know they have to dumb down the standards for them if they want to work for the FBI. At any rate, Trump wants loyalists not competent agents. That is the bottom line. God help us all.

Why would anyone decide that the best way to ensure the FBI is a more excellent and world renowned police force is to turn them into a common police force but with a federal slant?

The Dems are going to now suggest Trump is looking to create a federal police state, this is a boon to them if they have enough sharp people to discuss it in the media and will increase U.S debt.

If you want the best of the best, they need to find the best of the best. Trump loves intellects who graduated from the top schools so this can't be his idea. I don't know who is advising him but this is the exact opposite you want from the creme de la creme and will only lead to MORE abuses.

You want federal agents to take pride in knowing they can match wits with China and excel at stopping their spying. This is a gift to China more than anyone.

If true, this doesn't make sense to me to be honest. I'm confused, especially after hearing Patel talk about wanting to return the bureau to the best in the world.

30 years ago a college degree meant something, now except for certain degrees, they are meaningless.

What's wrong with someone with 10 years of enlisted service in the military, or someone with 10 years previous law enforcement experience but no degree being an agent?
