That means Q1 AND Q2. Q1 was a contraction.

Oh, and when you say GDP was 3.5%, that’s an annualized rate. When I say GDP grew by 0.7%, I used real GDP and didn’t annualized but used the total growth over 2 quarters.

You aren’t dumb, your brain is just heavily distorted by politics. I try to be nice to people like you but you make it very difficult.

At the end of the day, the people don’t think the economy is doing well. Maybe that has a lot to do with the expectations Trump set, but might have even more to do with the labor market. I really didn't like his speech last night that was far more Stephen Millerish than Trumpish. And while it did him no harm, I don't think it did any good or produced the effect he wanted.

All of us are aware of his accomplishments because we consult sources not infused with chronic TDS. But the speech didn't really address those kitchen table issues that matter to most Americans. I think he needed to do that. But again, I'm pretty sure Miller wrote that speech and he just isn't wired the same way someone more empathetic is.

Trump should have written his own speech with advice from Susie Wiles.
