Trump Threatens ABC Yet Again over Kimmel

They do, and I've condemned them for it. So do Republicans.

Trump was ALWAYS for Ukraine getting what they need BUT was against the US footing the bill when it was more a Europe problem and THEY were bludging on the US. Trump was for Europe putting their Euros where their mouths were; and Trump has done a good job of it.

But more importantly Trump wanted to STOP THE KILLING. He got Zel on side with that and that is good. It's Poots who is, and always has been, the problem.

He might have been against it BUT he signed off on it. Trump's words and his actual actions often conflict.

No. Trump was siding with what Ukraine wanted and they agreed with that. So did Russia back when he was siding with them.

I never watched Jimmy Kimmel until Trump went after him. Now I am watching him. Trump did a fantastic job making Jimmy Kimmel great again. The worst thing that can happen to Kimmel is for Trump to stop bitching about him. Watch Trump attack and watch Kimmel’s ratings soar. You can’t make up how truly deranged Trump is.

World leaders obviously don't take Trump's words seriously. Trump is unable to understand that. The world is going to do what is best for them, not what Trump see's as best for him.
Yes, but Biden et al also did what was best for "the world," instead of what was best for the U.S. So they would be "taken seriously" by Keir Starmer.

Respect is for the dead. The living need secure borders and fair trade.

I gave up watching broadcast networks news so many years ago I can't recall when. I don't watch any tv news anymore. I get my news from reading.

But it's clear as can be that our broadcast networks lean extremely to the left and have for decades. Today, they hardly even try to hide it.

This is in direct conflict with our broadcast rules set by Congress when they drew up the FCC and the rules for broadcast television.

Breaking the law never bothers democrats if it supports their politics.
This was greatly accelerated throughout the 1990's, and that's also when the reality TV genre hit mass media like a brick through a glass window. And we kicked off the '90's with Old Man Bush's New World Order manifesto in on 9/11/1990. This was the new paradigm that mainstream media began to whore itself to and has ever since. The media is still covering up that the New World Order is not a benefic, altruistic savior but is actually a global military industrial agenda asserting Manifest Destiny wherever it can push it. That truth is hidden within the Deep State and media is crucial for maintaining that lie.

And back on the topic of the reality TV genre, it was created in the 90's to deliberately blur the lines between fact and fiction. Eventually this same approach seeped into newsrooms and journalism. The advent of reality TV was first an experimental approach to dumbing down the masses. And as it became successful it was used more and more to cover blatant lies in reporting rather than just as a form of entertainment. We have an entire generation and a half raised on this now.

Dismissed rebuttal. I rarely supported anything Biden did BUT Trump isn't doing what is best for the U.S. What is best for the US is for us to walk away.

Making sure those penguins aren't hosing us.

When you say that trump is not taken seriously by world leaders, by definition, you are comparing him to previous President's who were taken seriously by people like Justin Trudeau, for example.

Unless your statement is now that no U.S.President has been taken seriously by world leaders?

If not, cut to the chase: tell us which presidents have been taken the most seriously by world leaders and what they did to earn that . . . serious taking?

I have never nor will I make that argument.

No? No I won't make that argument but it's been awhile.

FDR likely was.

Trump lays clear his Admin's threats against free media. None of that 'power of the market' crap. This is government threats against free speech.

Donald Trump Makes Another Threat To Go After ABC As He Blasts Jimmy Kimmel’s Return

Donald Trump finally weighed in on Jimmy Kimmel’s return to the air on Tuesday, with a not-so-veiled threat that his administration would still go after ABC.

Trump posted on Truth Social, “I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. The White House was told by ABC that his Show was cancelled! Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his ‘talent’ was never there. Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the Network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE. He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major Illegal Campaign Contribution. I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad Ratings.”
ABC isn't 'free media' it has to adhere to FCC regulations. If an FCC broadcast network misleads and only presents one side they are violating those regulations. Let Jimmy get his own cable show and see how that goes.

Deserving? We live in a capitalist society. We are not subjects. Government does not get to decide who is deserving here.
/—-/ Personally, I’m glad ABC brought Kimmel back. He’s costing the network millions. Sweet karma. Bleed them dry, Kimmel.
