I think Trump is concerned about Transnational trading.

Canada has a right to export to any nation on earth, including China. I dont want to import as much as some want and certainly not national security related products.

This will get everyones attention. PM Carneys speech at the WEF probably upset America and some of their agencies.

U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to impose a 100 per cent tariff on all Canadian goods entering the United States if Canada "makes a deal with China" — a forceful message that comes days after Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, widely viewed as pushback on U.S. actions.

Trump did not specifiy what a "deal" means in his social media post. Last week, Canada reached an agreement with China to allow 49,000 Chinese electric vehicles into the market at a lowered tariff rate of 6.1 per cent in exchange for China lowering tariffs on Canadian canola.

"If Governor Carney thinks is he going to make Canada a 'Drop Off Port' for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken," the U.S. president wrote in his post.

Well, the deal is already in place.

tRump is late to the game, as is often the case.

Canada has a weak leader.

He called Prime Minister Carney "Governor" in reference to the idea he could be the governor of the 51st State.
Well, maybe 52nd state since we aren't really giving Venezuela back.

Of course I don't think he is any more serious about that than he is about half the stuff he says, but you can bet he is serious about the tariffs, and if you think he is joking about them you don't understand the way real pressure, combined with rhetoric can be an effective tool in negotiations.

Make them think you are joking before your slap them across the face with whatever it is you are most certain you are prepared to do. Keep them on their heels, running in circles talking about everything under the sun except what you actually want from them. If it works, they will call you crazy and claim victory after you get what you wanted in the first place.

At some point, you just have to stop watching that little red ball bouncing along the ticker on the media outlet you are tuned into, then sit back and start taking a bigger look at what is really happening, whether or not you agree with it or want to accept it.

You say Canada has a right to trade with China, so why do you not think the US has a right to set whatever tariff they chose?

We need little from Canada, Canada on the other hand is dependent on selling stuff to the US. TRUMP is simply letting Canada know if they flood their country with crap from China they won't be unloading it into the US. TRUMP also made it clear the USMCA deal will be separated into 2 separate trade deals.

Izzat supposed to be a joke?

If Canada wishes to cosy up to our enemeies, then we should sever all diplomatic ties and close the border to the United States.

No trade, no citizen movement, nothing.
You're kidding, right? Hasn't America been China's biggest trade partner since the Clinton era? If America can "cozy" up to her enemies then who is America to tell others they can't? Flawed logic.

China never did anything bad to me.

The worst thing a Chinese has ever done to me is put too much spice in my food, but I married her anyway.

The problem is that America elected a complete lunatic, and the rest of the world sees it, even if half of America doesn't.

Guess what Joe, the whole world does not revolve around you.
That's probably going to be a little hard for you to take, but let it sink in.

What shocked me most about the latest Trump declaration is that I hadnt even taken my first sip from my tea yet, he usually gives me that courtesy :)

Guess what, dummy, you are blaming the Chinese for what rich Americans did to you, because you are ******* stupid.

I doubt that will ever sink in.

You have no ******* idea what my experiences are and making up shit thinking that means anything to anyone other than your imagination and retarded ass, will probably never sink in with you.

Actually, I pretty much had you pegged from the start.

Well great, considering I never suggested your imagination wasn't what you are certainly more satisfied and comfortable with.
Damn, you have some problems with cognitive dissonance. :auiqs.jpg:
