Your wrong about that. SCOTUS has made a joke out of most of the Bill of Rights. Just take the 5th Amendment, for example. The income tax requires you to provide the government with evidence against you. Obama has been steadily chiseling away at the Freedom of religion, and the government has long made many inroads in the the 2nd Amendment. Virtually all the amendments are in tatters.

A reinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment can be easily achieved by a court decision changing accepted rights as only applied to organized militia, not private ownership. That means all weapons can be confiscated and put in a state run armory. You will have right to own one, you just won't have the right to keep one in your home. Even the Somalis didn't go for that when I was there. The UN confiscated everything. But then all of them disappeared.
