Technically, you probably could, but the outright weight of the weapon due to the mass required and it's size, means it's not something you will get in a backpack or your first generation ICBM. Most of my actual limited person knowledge comes from being school train and qualified from active duty NBC( I think they call it CBRN now) school at Fort McClellan, Ga. So technically I qualified for the branch insignia (where several of the class failed), though I never sought a slot in the field, and remained with the Armor insignia, my entire career, except for that one year of being the aide to the Commanding General. It was just something else, somebody up above wanted me to take so they could have the resourse, as they knew I could pass, and I already had all the clearances. This was the 80s so most of it boiled down to determining yields, formulation of nuclear, chemical, biologic downwind message and getting numbers right, and of course radiologic surveys. You have to remember, this was back during the cold war, when we were expected to be way outnumbered conventionally on the battlefield and were certain tactical nukes would be used, and that we might have to travel through contaminated areas to achieve objective and needed to understand how much was tolerable, how soon. The Chemical and biologic warfare portions were equally a *****, but I was always a good study. You come out, with a good knowledge of how much it would suck to be in any of those environs.
