These tariffs should not be a surprise. Harris would have hurt us just the same without tariffs as she would have funded their industries with trillions of dollars, decimating Canadas competiveness and driving companies to the U.S for the free handouts while more closely bankrupting America thus forcing heavy protectionism as well, as Biden employed.

Imagine if Taiwan, Japan, N Korea, Germany or even France were in the same geographical location Canada enjoys? Their GDP would be 3x what our is as they actually have home grown innovators and companies who compete. They reject the caste system, covert police-state and instead embrace their most ambitious, regardless of their humble beginnings.

This is really unfortunate and is why I have been screaming for America to decrease their debt for nearly 10 years. America is on the brink due to their debt, they need to raise revenue while cutting taxes and regulations to compete. Did Canada, Mexico or others believe they weren't going to have to pay more due to the economic pressures the U.S are under?

Many here in America saw all of it coming, but our business class in America have since become seriously greed driven, and they have caused the eye's of the American dreamer's to fail.. Meanwhile Trump is reinvigorating the auto industry in this country with big plans to do so, but you want to speak as if nothing is changing or will change other than having higher price's because of the alternate direction we have been forced to take in order to MAGA for all here in this country, and it was all because of Bidens idiocy and failed policies.

To add to this- Take the trucking industry for another example of bad government policy, otherwise causing or reeking havoc in that industry and beyond with these failed DEF system's.

It's cost that industry billions in repairs that had to be added back into consumer goods cost, and it's still going on.

Disagree with your gloom and doom post that suggest that we have no way out of our dependency on China. We are a nation of patriots that still remember the days when our nation was great before during and after World War Two. Yes we had struggles in order to make ourself more unified and even much greater as a nation under God, and we have persevered through many trials and tribulations.

The USA is one of those countries that should NEVER use the term Moral
