I well, the major issue is that he didn't just sue the IRS. He also used his position as president to order them to settle the lawsuit with himself which is a blatant conflict of interest that should have gotten the lawsuit thrown out

This isn't taking advantage of the tax code. This is a president suing the government and then ordering the people who represent the government to settle with him and and hand him the money.
