Yes, right now. They have won control of the Straight of Hormuz, unchallenged in determining which ships can pass. The ones who do now pay a $2M toll for each ship, bringing in 10s of millions of dollars they weren't getting before. And they are paying in Chinese Yuan, which is weakening the PetroDollar. It amounts to Iran devaluing the dollar in international transactions, which could start other countries using the Yuan.
What's the Republican answer to that?
And what have we won, besides $4.19 a gallon gas, and maybe catastrophic crop failures because the time-based, desperately needed fertilizer is stuck in the Straight. Our farmers need it for planting season - NOW - and can't get it. Corn will be most vulnerable, and needs the most fertilizer. What happens to Ethanol and gas prices when there is a corn crop failure?
