Trump signals end to Iran negotiations with fiery Truth Social post

So, why did Trump go to war in Iran?

"Why Netanyahu Duped Trump Into the Illegal War With Iran"

And every time Trump and Iran have a period of peace, Israel does something to cause Iran to fight back. EVERY TIME.
Iran has been at war with Israel and the US since their little revolution

Wakey, wakey.

The only question becomes, why did Trump choose to escalate it without a plan to finish it because anyone with half a brain would understand they have no interest in peace?

Israel is in no position to control the US. Think about it. Why was Trump proclaiming he was "calling the shots" yesterday, huh?

Why was it, Trump was able to stop Netanyahu from attacking Iran on multiple occasions, last year, and last night?

The fact that he has to keep "stopping" him shows he has no control over him.

Sure, Trump can claim he's calling the shots, but the shots are coming from Tel Aviv.

Without our weapons and support, Israel would have ceased to exist long ago.
Probably. But given the stranglehold that AIPAC has on Congress, that's a moot point.

I live in a district where AIPAC spent $3.9 million propping up Melissa Bean because her opponent might not be as warm and fuzzy about Israel as they would have liked.

You can do better than that.

The title is leading. I'll read something more objective if you have it.

But it is.

Because they know Trump's ego. They know that if Iran attacks, the US will attack back. So Israel provokes Iran, Iran attacks someone and the US then starts up again.
Then you forget how egotistical radical Islamists are. In a battle of egos, Trump wins. They can't beat him at his own game.

His recent comments that "Iran" is ready to sign a "deal" are just bizarre. The World couldn't care less if Iran "signs a deal" because the World knows that Iran is not trustworthy - will not adhere to any deal that it signs. The only conclusion to this mess is to put Iran in a situation where it can no longer be a menace to other countries, and that requires military obliteration.

Why pretend otherwise?
Islam encourages lying to infidels.

I've been saying all along, at this point you either take over the Straits of Hormuz or take out the regime.

And since the later is not aided by public support or the ability monetarily, that only leaves controlling the Straits of Hormuz.

Can anyone tell me how the international community continues to allow Iran to hold hostage 1/5 of the oil reserves? They should form a coalition to take over the Straits of Hormuz.
Sure, the simple fact is that you can't control the straight of Hormuz without putting troops on the ground in Iran.

Troops that will die in the hundreds if not thousands. A price no country is willing to pay. This includes the US by the way.

Think of it from the perspective of every country besides the US or Israel. No one was consulted, ALL are paying the price. A price you want them to increase to not just be financial but including lives.

Oh, I never underestimate Trump's ability to screw things up.

The thing is, unless he is willing to commit ground troops, he's got all talk and nothing to back it up with.
We will wait and see, then.

Of course trump LIES again. Drones are their Air Force and it's powerful enough to keep the U.S. Navy out of the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran also has high speed torpedoes that can sink any of our warships. However, they know if they use them the U.S. will turn Iran into a parking lot. They are playing a cat and mouse game hoping to affect this fall's election. If the Congress flips its goodbye Trump. If that happens aid for Israel will be cut off and Iran will be back to business as usual.

Then you forget how egotistical radical Islamists are. In a battle of egos, Trump wins. They can't beat him at his own game.
So what's the point? We're screwed because two sides have leaders who are idiots?

We have the bigger guns. And for all that Trump may be in your eyes, he doesn't have a cadre of of religious theocratic zealots advising him.

It was TACO Tuesday. Interesting that the markets did not react very much. Trump is now the boy who cried wolf.

When you use terms like "Radical Islamist", you really aren't grasping the situation.

We had a perfectly good agreement where Iran stopped nuclear weapons development in exchange for removing sanctions and returning assets

And Trump tore that agreement up.

Iran went to Geneva to negotiate a peace with Kushner and Witkoff(sp).

Trump and Bibi bombed them anyway.

Now, I want to imagine you are Motjaba Khameini.

For the last 40 years, the US has been trying to economically strangle your country.

Your father signed an agreement with the Americans, which the Americans threw out, even though Iran was in compliance.

While pretending to negotiate, the Israelis and Americans launched an attack that killed your father and wife, while you yourself were seriously injured.

Now you find yourself in a position where the limits of American power are clear. They are out of munitions, the strategic oil reserve is running out of oil, and Trump doesn't have the popular support to commit ground troops (and probably doesn't have enough ground troops available, anyway)

It is hard to fathom that it has taken Trump all this time to realize Iran has no interest in peace.
Time is on his side not Irans. He is playing his hand well.

Hmm... I'm on my phone right now. I'll say more here when I'm near a keyboard.

You have to understand something.

You made the claim, you back it up.

"Israel is controlling Trump."

Not my job.
Problem is, you wrote an OP.

In that OP you stated "This appears to have been his plan all along." And you didn't prove it, you didn't even try. Now all of a sudden I'm expected to prove my point and you're not expected to prove yours.
