It's not a matter of seeing, it's a matter of whether certain military actions cross a line.

For instance, Nixon's bombing campaigns in Cambodia and North Vietnam are seen as war crimes today, even though Nixon was never held accountable for them. They didn't achieve the desired goal (the Communists still won).

If Trump's goal is to inflict misery on the Iranian people before signing an agreement that leaves the IRGC in charge, I'm not sure that's much to be proud of.

There was no war until Trump started it. Trying to claim that Iran isn’t interested in peace only reflects your parochial world view.

Iran isn’t the agressor here. Trying to pretend that they are is dishonest and a clear attempt to shift blame for starting the war away from the man who started it.

Isreal and Lebanon are not part of “adding more and more conditions”. They were part of Iran’s first conditions.

Trump can’t deliver on them either. He tried this week, and his buddy Netanyahu told him to pound sand.

I'm beginning to agree that we need ground troops. But that's a bridge too far for me.

Now, if we run commando raids for the fissile material, that wouldn't be as bad. But otherwise, I'd like not to see another Iraq here.

If this could have been resolved with Commando raids, the Israelis would have done that by now. It's one of the few things they are good at.

The Iranians have probably redistributed the enriched uranium to multiple sites. (It's what they did with the hostages in 1980 when Jimmy Carter attempted his half-ass commando raid.)

The problem here is boots on the ground and regime change are the only way to be absolutely sure Iran doesn't make a bomb. The other part is that they are highly incentivized to now, given they made an agreement, and we broke it.

His recent comments that "Iran" is ready to sign a "deal" are just bizarre. The World couldn't care less if Iran "signs a deal" because the World knows that Iran is not trustworthy - will not adhere to any deal that it signs. The only conclusion to this mess is to put Iran in a situation where it can no longer be a menace to other countries, and that requires military obliteration.

Why pretend otherwise?
