If the economy was great, why would we need negative interest rates that punish people for saving?

To make it even better... Trump felt and so did millions of Americans that the fed was trying to slow the economy to harm Trump...

The economy has been TOO red hot, since Biden took office. Rates were raised to cool off a red hot economy.
