Your story is obviously made up

Your boss has a headache and sends you for a thermometer. What is a thermometer going to do to relieve a headache?
Then you embellish your story and say he dumped 19 in the garbage in front of you and smirked as he did it. Real people would dump them when you were gone

In reality, a boss like that would be reported. As you know, it is next to impossible to fire a Government employee. Whistle blowers are all over the place

You are making shit up
He wanted to know if he had a fever. Duh.

And the story is true. You can keep denying the way government employees waste money, but there’s a new sheriff in town. It’s going to stop.

And how would a boss like that be reported? Nobody knew what he did but me. You think a 21-year-old kid is going to report her boss? Get real.

You’re just desperate to hide the truth about government waste.

I just don't agree with this one and creating more govt to watch over more govt. Govt needs to be cut not added. Same with DHS. Do not need it.

We had fraud waste and abuse hotlines, IG, whistle blower protections. A Supervisor would never be so blatant.
When you make up a story, try not to embellish so much. It tips you off

Sorry…..your denial isn’t working. A yes….a supervisor was so blatant. He was also a GS-15 and director of a department.

Try to lie to someone who doesn’t live in Washington DC and has not seen firsthand and heard stories from government workers for 40 years.

Government workers are about to learn that money has meaning and that their employer isn’t an empty well of cash for them to waste.

The waste in government is sickening. Absolutely no regard to how they throw away taxpayers’ hard-earned money.
In my 40 years in the Government, I found the Government to be cheap and petty

When I started in the Government in the late 70s, I couldn’t even accept a cup of coffee from a Contractor. I was expected to give them a quarter.

At work, we had to pay for our own coffee. We had to pay a couple bucks a week to form a coffee club
For Christmas Parties, Dept Picnics, Retirement parties we had to pay ourselves.

Remember that lavish party, with the guy sitting in the bathtub in the luxury suite in a Las Vegas hotel?

As far as being cheap and petty, and wasting money, the government can be both. We had cheap metal furniture, yet the GS-15 who dumped the 19 thermometers in the trash because he only needed 1 still wasted money left and right. And there are plenty like him.

Speaking of wasting money, why is the government paying contractors $400 an hour?

Moar bypassing of Congress for moar bureaucracy.
Cutting the size and Budget of government is NOT "more bureaucracy".

Trump-45's budget was $4T
Biden's budgets were about $6.7T we need to get back to the $4T Budgets

Really, so a bureau is not bureaucracy, MAGAT logic I suppose.

DOGE is NOT a bureau, its more of a Commission, like the old Grace Commission.
If DOGE cuts $Trillions from the Budget I don't care what they call it.

Federal and state legislatures are the problem. They make the laws that are supposed to address our national problems. But the laws don't solve the problems, therefore the problems grow and along with them grow the bureaucracies. And, because of ineffective laws the bureaucracies become more and more inefficient. Soon the whole thing looks like a 'hoarders' house: organized confusion. :omg:

Efficiencies can be gained by reducing budgets. No need for watchdogs. Government employees can be laid off and thousands have been.

The problem with government bureaucracies and government workers in general is twofold, lack of efficiency and lack of productivity. It's the missing gene in government officials and workers.

True story.
A friend of mine and I mowed, raked, bailed, and stored a large field of hay over a long summer weekend. The owner of the farm came out just as we were finishing. He walked back and forth, looking at the field, the barn, checked the 'bale counter' on the elevator, and finally asked us who had helped us with the task. He was not a working man but an insurance executive who had purchased the farm for recreational use and as an investment. The hay was for his wife's horses. As he wasn't familiar with physical work or timely productivity, he was amazed at what two working guys could accomplish.
