That is what you like to do. I got a call to Anniston Army Depot to see if I could connect their main frame Univac to my discrete machine. The Army Computer Engineers couldn't do it and asked for my help which I graciously gave. Their Univac had four ports on the back and they were using the wrong port. My discrete machine used serial data and I showed them the serial data port on their main frame. Problem solved and I did not charge them money for my services.

I'm in the process of creating a cable interchange based upon the TipExchange system of GoMadic so that I don't need 100 USB ports on my MB and 1000 cables coming off my rig to connect everything. I'm a major gadget fan, plus I sing, so I've got a mess of damned cables, every USB you can imagine, XML's, 3.5mm's, RCA's, etc. I'm using my Arduino interface to make a single plugable bank PCB interface. In the end I'll just have a single cable off my rig to my custom PCB mounted on the back of my monitor, and a row of the various connectors below my center monitor that I can pull forward and connect to everything with. Then I'll just have the audio cables for my headset and mics to deal with \o/
