President Trump on Wednesday railed against
New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani and appeared to suggest he could use federal authority to
exert power over the city depending on the outcome of Novemberās election.
āAs President of the United States, Iām not going to let this Communist Lunatic destroy New York,ā Trump posted on Truth Social, a reference to Mamdani. āRest assured, I hold all the levers, and have all the cards. Iāll save New York City, and make it āHotā and āGreatā again, just like I did with the Good Olā USA!ā
The post also marks the
latest attack from Trump, a New York City native, against Mamdani, who this week officially secured the
Democratic nomination for Novemberās mayoral race.
Trump on Tuesday also threatened to investigate Mamdaniās
immigration status and arrest him if he stood in the way of Immigration and Customs Enforcementās raids in the city.
Mamdani
legally moved to the U.S. as a young child with his family after growing up in Uganda.
āHis statements donāt just represent an attack on our democracy but an attempt to send a message to every New Yorker who refuses to hide in the shadows: if you speak up, they will come for you,ā Mamdani said Tuesday.

Oh! That was my 1st experience with Islam, and it is rotten to the core.
Dad was trying to kill her with a sword. He was going to behead her.
Yeah, uh..
That didn't happen, she got a plane ticket to her family in Pakistan
who then killed her within 2 weeks. I'm not gonna talk much about how the thing with the sweaty Paki bastard with the sword and me answering
the door at 2 AM with a gun went.
Unless asked. I lied. Lemme tell ya, some friends of mine had a woman
come beating on their door for help one night, and she was found brutally
murdered the next day. So when that happened with this girl, I did it different.
She was frantic, and her dad was chasing her around with a sword trying to behead her.
I also knew who she was..and understood the distress.
I got her in and shut everything down.
Just like nothing ever happened.
It took a while before he came around.
I had done woke my aunt up and told her, and she was cool and
stashed the girl under the stairs in a pantry, and gave her a bedroll
and cover or whatever and shut the light out.
So, beheady daddy comes knocking on the back door at 2 AM
and that's right where I sleep. Obviously it's where his daughter knew where to go.
Done been shut down just waiting for this.
I acted, but had my gun ready to go. He had a sword in his hand.
Sweatin' and lookin' all crazy n shit.
I played it off and said I never saw her since a couple days ago.
And I asked about the sword and why he had it and motioned with my gun.
He didn't try to chop me, so there's that.
I had one in the chamber. Knew this was coming.
But by the grace of God go I.
Okay, so, we smuggled her to the airport the next day on the floor of
the car from the garage to the airport right onto the plane.
Daddy did not follow. He didn't know. She was dead within 2 weeks.
An aunt or uncle beheaded her like her dad wanted to do.
Total waste of life because of Islam.
She was pretty and sweet. 19 years old and American.
